THE PENDULUM OF POWER

We live in a moment of global transition. Many people today have doubts about the future, despite the fact that many are optimistic about these changes. When the ground is quiet and the wind is not blowing, everything is simple. But humans learn how frail they really are when the winds of change start to blow against their backs.

Humanity is perched in the Age of War, peering down into the abyss of oblivion, where one mistake could mean the end of the species. To what extent is human nature capable of withstanding upheaval before breaking? Are these changes in the world’s structure just minor tremors underfoot, or are they the final earthquake’s rumblings?

Thousands of kings and queens, each distinct from the last, have held the title of crown. Power is like a clock’s pendulum—it swings back and forth while time never stops. It brings two conflicting forces into balance, with each depending on the other to keep everything in order.

Although neither side can completely win, neither can concede. The clock is dead if the pendulum stops swinging.

PEACEFUL TRANSFER OF POWER IS A FOUNDATION OF FREEDOM.

it is easy to place the blame for hardships on the shoulders of humanity’s leaders if they are not the ones that you chose. In the minds of their opposition, a leader turns into an enemy; their mistakes turn into premeditated attacks; their human flaws turn into irreparable defects; their missteps turn into wicked conspiracies. Many refuse to see any good in those who disagree with them simply because their beliefs are different.

The Pendulum Of Power

The check that prevents a leader from becoming an autocrat is criticism. However, even the best leader is composed of the same elements as the least effective ones. The only thing separating a commoner’s mind from a king’s is what they have chosen to fill it with. It is an assertion that a leader is not human to say that they are wholly good or bad.

Discover serenity in the age-old query, “Cui bono?” Who benefits from this? When the people they govern are destroyed, what do leaders stand to gain? Why would a monarch or queen kill the one thing that makes them worthy of the throne?

EVERY KING IS OUTNUMBERED BY HIS PEOPLE. WHO THEN TRULY LEADS A COUNTRY

A leader’s ability to resist becoming a despot is embodied in criticism. That being said, even the best leader is composed of the same elements as the least. The only thing that separates the minds of a monarch and a commoner is what each has decided to put inside of them. Saying that a leader is wholly good or evil amounts to saying that they are not human.

Find solace in the age-old query “Cui bono.” To whom does this benefit? When those they lead are destroyed, what benefits do leaders stand to receive? What could possibly motivate a monarch to demolish the very object of their position?

The Pendulum Of Power

Your leaders have no desire to hurt you, and they frequently have to make judgments that are unclear to you and could appear dubious when taken out of context in order to ensure your safety. You are welcome to put in the time and effort necessary to replace your existing leaders if you feel that their choices would better benefit mankind than your own, just as they did for the leaders who came before them.

Time is an effective revealer. This planet has weathered millennia of adversity and catastrophes more destructive than any battle in recorded history. Despite facing some of the worst dictators, governments, and difficulties in history, humanity has persevered and grown stronger.

THOUGH DIVIDED BY OPINION, ALL MUST UNITE FOR THE GOOD OF HUMANITY.

Do not worry about what lies ahead for the most hardy species on Earth. Humanity’s clock will not stop even if the names on the maps and the portraits inside the palaces change. Seek safety in the pyramid’s protection when the winds of change threaten to sweep you off your feet. We are constantly keeping an eye on you. ❲
